The Camp After School Program was designed with children in mind. Our 156 acres of pristine property offers a wealth of exciting educational and recreational opportunities for your child including a nine acre lake and two ponds, basketball and volleyball courts, a large open field for group games, a petting zoo, a low ropes challenge course, a high ropes course, hiking trails, playground, a nature center and more!

Our Camp After School Center is comfortably furnished and offers many features including a Computer Lab, Homework Rooms, Library, Full Bathroom and Kitchen facilities, and designated areas for quiet activities.

Our experienced staff provides a safe and caring environment for your child, maintaining a maximum ratio of one trained staff member to every fifteen children. The program maximizes your child's experience utilizing the many amenities available. Activities include Boating and Fishing, Field Games, Hiking and Nature Exploration, Arts & Crafts, Special Guests and much more!

  • Program Hours - After school until 6:00pm
  • Serving 5th through 8th grade students
  • Transportation provided from George Fischer Middle School to Camp Herrlich.
  • CASP follows Carmel Central School District calendar, including scheduled half days.
  • Alternative day programs available during most school vacations. 

Camp Wilbur Herrlich is operated by Mount Tremper Outdoor Ministries, Inc. (MTOM), a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization. MTOM has provided enriching youth experiences, including environmental education programs, summer and vacation camps, weekend retreats and a variety of other programs, for more than twenty-five years. Our reputation for quality, safe programming is evident from our nomination for the prestigious Presidential Service Award, a national honor recognizing those organizations that make a lasting contribution to the American community. MTOM holds a permit from the New York State Department of Health. MTOM is also licensed to operate a school-aged child care program by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. MTOM is a New York State B.O.C.E.S. certified environmental education facility and is accredited by the American Camping Association.
